You need clean the glue completely on dashboard golden finger and glass contacts before heatseal connect new flat cable to it. Don`t clean by sharp things like knife, we suggest with mild acetone or alcohol. 

It require some skill of soldering experience connect it to the circuilt dashboard and LCD glass.
